Once open water season ends, these sessions will resort back to standard coached session for Group A at 7.30pm and uncoached session for Group B at 8.30pm.
Session 1 (Group B swimmers) - Critical Swim Speed of 2:00mins/100m and above
Session 2 (Group A swimmers) - Critical Swim Speed of 1:59mins/100m and below (more experienced swimmers)
Open Water Season
Open Water swim sessions are run at Lochore Meadows Country Park during May to September every Wednesday from 6.30pm - 7.30pm for open water swim practice (with safety boat cover) - cost £4 per session payable to Lochore on arrival (ensure you have the correct change with you). These sessions are not run by the club and it is up to the individual to organise, however, there are often club members attending, as well as people from other clubs and people who just enjoy open water swimming. No need to be part of a club to attend these sessions. A wetsuit is advisable - check with Lochore Meadows Reception for any further information. Please note, you need to arrive around 6pm at Lochore if you have never been before in order to register for open water (or even if you have been before, arrive early to give yourself time to get changed and ready to start your swim at 6.30pm).
